タイル施工の伝統技術
At KANNO TOGYO, when installing tiles on stairs or other surfaces that have both vertical and horizontal lines, we use a technique called "DANGOBARI," which involves laying tiles starting from the vertical lines. This technique is so named because the mortar is applied in large amounts on the tiles, like a dumpling.This construction method can only be carried out by skilled craftsmen.
菅野陶業ではタイルの施工をする際、階段等縦のラインと横のラインが混在する場合、縦のラインから貼り出す「団子張り」という技術を使用します。モルタルをタイルの上にまるで団子の様にどっさりと載せて貼ることからこの名称で呼ばれていて、技術のある職人さんでなければこの工法で施工する事はできません。

How to Lay Tiles
タイルの貼り方
First Process
This time, we will introduce examples of entrance hall construction, where tiles are most commonly used.Measure and mark the area where you want to place the tile, then use DANGOBARI to place the tile along the vertical axis.
玄関タイル施工紹介。タイルを配置する領域を測定してマークし、団子張り工法で垂直軸に沿りタイルを配置します。
Making the Groundwork
Next, apply mortar to the flat area to create a base for attaching tiles, taking into account the gradient of the water flow.
次に平面部分にモルタルを盛り水の流れる勾配を考えながらタイルを貼る下地を作っていきます。
Laying Tiles
Once the base is complete, let it dry thoroughly, apply cement and then lay the tiles.Once the tiles are in place, wait a while for the cement to harden.
下地が完成したら十分に乾かし、セメントを塗った後タイルを貼っていきます。タイルを貼り終えたらセメントが固まるまで待ちます。
Filling Gaps in Tiles
Apply joint material to the gaps between the tiles. Once it has dried, wipe it off to give it a nice finish.
タイルとタイルの間に目地材を塗り埋めていきます。程よく乾いたら拭き取り、仕上げに更にタイル面を拭き、綺麗にしていきます。
